Design Leader.

Don’t know what a design leader is? You’re not alone. Despite the recent buzz, it’s a term that remains unfamiliar to many.

Design leaders are individuals who strategically position design within organisations to influence decision-making and drive change. They shape organisational culture and structures, empowering modern companies to thrive within their often complex, ever-evolving, and multi-stakeholder operating environments.

I’ve been immersed in the world of design leadership for more than 15 years. I hold a Ph.D. on the topic from Copenhagen Business School. I’ve led design-driven transformation programs with organisations like Adidas, Gilead Pharma, Gucci, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Xero.

Today, I serve as an independent consultant for organisations seeking to integrate design strategically, and as a design leadership coach for individuals aiming to advance in their design careers.

I love writing and sharing stories. Each week, I publish my reflections in the online journal Design Mavericks. I have also (co-)authored books, academic articles and whitepapers. Explore some of this content below.
